In his latest article in the Aug. 30th Sunday Parade Magazine, Michael O'Shea insists that "Hitting the links can help you live longer." I knew that I was onto something when I titled this blog more than a few months ago. The reason I was intuitive about golf helping you live longer, was because of the number of seniors that I know who are active and
still enjoy the sport.
O'Shea's article cites a study done by the Swedish which uncovered that golf can give both genders a 40% lower mortality rate. Personally, golf clears my head. Even if I just go to the range and hit a bucket of balls, the feeling I have afterwards is incredible.
I am a beginner golfer, with a pink golf bag and pink balls in tow. Yep. I smell the wood burning:)
